Once you are happy with your loft conversion plans we then submit them to Local Authorities for buildings approval or BCO inspection.

Planning Permission for a Loft Conversion

The regulations & laws surrounding loft conversions can be confusing at the best of times and are ever changing. As such, iCrescent GB will lead you through this potential minefield by fully managing the project.

Our residential architects & surveyors will visit your property to complete a full survey, taking the relevant measurements from your home & loft. These details then get compiled into a detailed loft conversion plan known as building plans (or floor plans).

Of course, as mentioned below, many loft conversions do not require Planning Permission and where this applies we ensure that your building plans pass inspection from the Building Control Officer.

Loft Conversion Building Regulations

The majority of loft conversions we encounter do not require planning permission & this occasionally applies to loft extensions/dormers. However, when your loft conversion is for habitable use then a Building Regulations Approval is required.

To pass a Building Control Officer inspection (BCO inspection) iCrescent GB’s team of loft conversion specialists ensure all our building plans specify what and where work is planned. The Building Control Officer will continue to inspect the new property development at several times during the course of the build to ensure all work conforms to the required standards.
